Great healthy birds.

Always has a great selection and assortment of birds to choose from, but call ahead since it is an owner operated business

Nice selection. Always helpful

I had good intentions, and thought I was doing the right thing by supporting a Michigan "farmer" by driving several hours to get chicks from this place. I would never purchase a puppy from a puppy mill, but in my excitement of getting chicks in a trendy color, I got bamboozled. I have spent countless hours reading, researching, tending to and crying over dying birds. This spring, I will be getting replacement chicks from a veterinarian who shows, breeds and judges.

Great business. .large variety of birds..good prices..very knowledgeable

I greatly regret purchasing chicks from here. Please do your research before buying chicks, and please purchase your birds from reputable breeders who care about the health and longevity of their bloodlines. My hens are about a year and a half, and out of 8 lavender orpingtons, there's only 2 left. During their juvenile molt, I realized that something was wrong with 3 of them. I called the owner's phone number and left two voicemails that were never returned. I would imagine that most breeders would want to know that three chicks from the same batch were failing to thrive with small, light colored combs and would sway, trip and fall over, but not this place. However, two veterinarians and the head of MSU's poultry dept. had no issues in calling me back. The news was grim with the conclusion being either marek's or a genetic issue with organ development, and they did not make it. This past month, I have now lost two more hens to a horrible infection called egg yolk peritonitis, something that can be prevented with better breeding.
